  • This is a cruise that will provide both contact with nature (Lake Druzno nature reserve) and a journey down the slope of one of the 5 world-famous inclined planes of the Elbląg Canal, a marvel of 19th-century hydrotechnology.
    This inclined plane is named Całuny.
  • The passenger boards the ship at a point offering an incredible view of the neighboring inclined plane – Jelenie. Already then, we admire
    and learn the operating principle of the inclined plane – “sailing on grass”, which means the movement of vessels on steel carriages along the tracks of the inclined plane.
  • The Całuny inclined plane is the last structure on the canal trail heading towards the sea, making it the first one from the Elbląg side. It is also more than two decades younger than its 4 sisters, as it was built to replace 5 locks originally constructed at this site.
  • This is certainly an attractively priced cruise, but meant for those who have no trouble reaching the departure point (the lower station of the Jelenie inclined plane) or returning after the cruise finishes near Elbląg’s Old Town. It is a dream cruise for cyclists, as their bicycles can be taken on board.
  • Fun fact: the machinery of all inclined planes is powered solely by water energy, but the Całuny inclined plane is powered by a water turbine, whereas the others are driven by water wheels. The principle of operation, however, remains the same.

Fee for traveling with a pet

A maximum of 3 dogs or other small pets are allowed on board. It is required to bring a leash and a muzzle if the dog requires it. Please have valid vaccination certificates ready for inspection. If the pet transport fee is no longer available in the system, it means we are fully booked. In that case, please select a different time or day.

A maximum of 10 bicycles are allowed on board. Panniers must be removed from the bike before boarding. If the bicycle fee is no longer available in the system, it means we are fully booked. In that case, please select a different time or day.

The cruise is operated by a double-decker vessel.
On the lower deck, there are 55 seats at tables, while the upper observation deck offers an additional 20 seats.

Seats on the ship are not numbered.

The ship is equipped with a toilet.

A buffet with hot and cold drinks is available on board.

During the cruise, you can take advantage of a lunch or dinner offer, which must be ordered before the cruise by calling: 601 660 330.
To order a lunch or dinner, please prepare: your reservation number, date, type and time of the cruise, as well as the name and surname of the person making the reservation.
