Description:
The 18-kilometer route, called the Path of the Szeląg, winds through 4 lakes: Drwęckie Lake, Pauzeńskie Lake, Szeląg Wielki and Szeląg Mały. Ships pass through floodgates on two occasions, which are located in Ostróda and in Ruś Mała, as well as a brick tunnel connecting Szeląg Wielki with Szeląg Mały, which, apart from the unusually charming landscape that characterizes the entire route, is a great experience for each participant of the cruise. During the 2.5 hour cruise, you will encounter protected bird species, including the majestic sea eagle but also crane, heron, or grebe. Around Lake Szeląg Wielki lie the Taborskie Forests, part of the Taborskie Pines Nature Reserve, unique not only in Poland but worldwide. These forests are home to unique pine trees, over 260 years old and reaching heights of up to 40 meters. The beautiful surroundings of the section from Ostróda to Stare Jabłonki is especially valued by the enthusiasts of canoeing and kayaking, who enjoy this quiet arm of the Elbląg Canal. The ship ends its cruise in Stare Jabłonki at the marina located right next to the Anders Hotel beach.
After the cruise is over, there is a possibility to use the return transport taking you back to Ostróda.
During the cruise, we invite you to enjoy the buffet and order dishes from the menu prepared by Szalona Gęś cocktail & restaurant.
